Mushroom Gummies
Functional mushroom gummies built on a base of 100% organic honey — not corn syrup, not gelatin. Four single-focus formulas and a trio bundle, each made in small batches in Portland, Oregon with 4:1 cold-water extracted mushrooms.
What a functional mushroom gummy actually is
Functional mushrooms are the non-psychoactive, culinary and medicinal species — lion's mane, reishi, cordyceps, chaga, turkey tail and their relatives. They contain no psilocybin and no muscimol. They're classed as adaptogens: substances that support the body's resistance to stressors rather than acting on one system at a time.
This matters because searching for "mushroom gummies" now returns a lot of amanita and "magic mushroom" products. Those are a different category with different effects and a different legal position. Nothing we make is psychoactive.
Why we use honey instead of corn syrup
Nearly every gummy on the shelf is built from glucose syrup or high-fructose corn syrup, set with gelatin, and coloured with dye. Ours starts with USDA Organic honey as the first ingredient, which is both the sweetener and the carrier. That means no artificial sweeteners, no dyes, no high-fructose corn syrup, and no gelatin — so they're suitable if you avoid pork or beef gelatin.
Honey also tastes like something. Each drop carries notes of maple syrup, brown sugar and seasonal flowers, which is why we don't need to mask the mushrooms with flavouring.
What 4:1 cold-water extracted means
A 4:1 extract means four parts raw mushroom reduced to one part finished extract, so you get a concentrated dose rather than milled mushroom powder. Cold-water extraction preserves the polysaccharides that hot alcohol extraction can degrade. Every batch is lab-tested.
The distinction worth knowing when you compare brands: extract versus powder, and fruiting body versus mycelium grown on grain. A cheap "mushroom" gummy is often mycelium-on-grain powder, which is mostly the grain.
Choosing between the four
- Sunshine Mane — lion's mane and B12, lemon ginger. For focus and mental clarity. The daytime one.
- Midnight Reishi — red reishi with chamomile, passionflower and skullcap, huckleberry. For winding down.
- Mango Shroom — an eight-mushroom complex with curcumin and piperine, orange mango. For immune support and occasional aches.
- Bee Legit — 200mg shilajit and 100mg cordyceps, vanilla chai. For grounded, lasting energy.
New to all of it: the Original Trio bundles the first three, or take a 5-count sample of any single formula. For more background, read our complete guide to mushroom gummies.
Frequently asked questions
Are mushroom gummies psychedelic?
No. Lion's mane, reishi, cordyceps and chaga are functional mushrooms and contain no psilocybin or muscimol. They are not psychoactive and have no intoxicating effect.
How many mushroom gummies should I take a day?
One to two drops daily, taken consistently. Adaptogens build with regular use rather than acting on a single dose.
What does 4:1 cold-water extracted mean?
Four parts raw mushroom reduced to one part finished extract, using cold water rather than hot alcohol so the polysaccharides are preserved. It is a concentrated extract, not milled mushroom powder.
Do these contain gelatin?
No. Honey Drops are set without gelatin, so they contain no pork or beef derivatives. The base is 100% organic honey.
How long before I notice anything?
Most people give adaptogenic mushrooms two to four weeks of daily use. Effects are cumulative and subtle rather than immediate.
Are they vegan?
They are gelatin-free but not vegan, because honey is the primary ingredient.
